About RRB Technician
The selection process primarily includes a Computer Based Test (CBT) that evaluates candidates on subjects such as General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and technical trade knowledge. The exam is objective in nature and follows a standardized marking scheme with negative marking for incorrect answers.
The RRB Technician exam is considered a stable and competitive government job examination, offering candidates an opportunity to work in Indian Railways with job security, regular pay scale, and additional allowances as per government norms. RRB Technician Grade I (Signal) Exam Pattern – Overview
- The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
- All questions will be objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- A total of 100 questions will be asked for 100 marks.
- Negative Marking: 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- No marks will be deducted for questions left unanswered.

- Minimum Qualifying Marks:
- UR / EWS – 40%
- SC / OBC (NCL) – 30%
